The highest index rise at an industry level (in original terms) The 0.5% quarterly rise in the wage price index in Q4 matched the increase in Q3 and kept the annual growth rate unchanged at 2.2%. The result was in line with the Bloomberg median and the RBA’s forecast and on its own won’t convince the Bank to cut rates at its March meeting.
