Hi, I've just got back from Italy with approx 40 euro's burning a hole in my back pocket. Seeing as its such a small ammount I was wondering where would be cheapest to convert it back into £'s without paying overboard on fee's / charges ? Any suggestions on which Foreign Currency firm offers the cheapest conversion? The time taken is not a factor, as I am prepared to wait until the euro/GBP exchange rate is more advantageous. A few years ago, before the EU referendum vote, a pound bought €1.43 – since it's dropped significantly and hasn’t recovered much. Last summer it bought €1.14, and today it’s hovering around the €1.12 mark. Against the dollar, the rate is just $1.32 – about a decade ago it bought roughly $2. travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com Hi, I've just got back from Italy with approx 40 euro's burning a hole in my back pocket.
